Bill Maw started Helpan Advisors to pursue his passion for helping early-stage and growth-stage companies in times of need. Helpan Advisors provides project based and interim support to companies seeking help with CFO type services, whether mentoring existing CFO’s or filling a temporary gap.

Bill brings over 30 years of global experience working for larger firms such as PwC and GE Capital but also 17 years experience as CFO of Series A, Series C and private equity turnarounds in the FinTech and technology sectors.

Bill has worked closely with top-tier investment banks, law firms, audit firms and other advisors. He has built world class finance organizations, raised capital (equity and debt), prepared for an IPO, been involved in extensive M&A and served as a board director. Bill is a former member of The Wall Street Journal CFO Network.

Bill is passionate about entrepreneurs and start-ups and has invested in 15+ seed stage companies. He also spent two years at GE Equity overseeing part of the advanced technology practice originating and managing investments.
